I am a passionate, soulful and heart-based photographer, based in the beautiful Scottish Borders, UK, having lived in Scotland for the last decade or so. I originally hail from Aotearoa, New Zealand, where my family live in a stunning part of the country on the Kapiti Coast, just north of Wellington.

I am a visual artist and have been all my life, and my passion for photography goes right back to when I was knee high to a grasshopper, aided perhaps, by my vivid sense of imagination and poetic lens that gave my childhood a dreamlike and surreal quality.

​

Fastforward to the here and now, and not much has changed; I still have an affinity with the magic and the mystic, and the energies that exist in the realms between what we perceive as reality and that of the infinite.

 

This said, my portraiture style is intuitive, atmospheric, soulful, intimate and profoundly authentic. My heartfelt wish is that each of my clients leaves feeling nourished and uplifted for sharing their true essence and having received a reflection of their glorious selves in their most natural state. The gallery of images are a celebration of their truth, to serve as a beautiful reminder as to what was flowing in their lives in that moment.

And to be clear, I perceive beauty in many ways. This is not limited to joy and happiness and "picture perfect" moments, it is recognition and release of the myriad of complex emotions that make us human, that of deep sorrow, grief and anxiety, the trauma we hold, the scars we carry and the experiences that make us the unique and vibrant individuals we are.  It is the celebration of our unique journey, and the beauty in being ourselves just as we are, all that we are, and all that we are yet to become.
