Remembering Together: Scottish Borders
' Tartan in the tweed '
Remembering Together: Collective acts of reflection, remembrance, hope and healing with communities across Scotland.
Tartan in the Tweed is a community creative project supported by Two Destination Language.

Wild swimmers were invited to join in with three colourful events that took place along the River Tweed during the summer of 2024, led by dance health artist, Rhiana Laws and photographed by Huia Takau. Participants re-created the newly woven Borders Together tartan using huge lengths of brightly coloured ribbons along the river banks and immersed in the water. These events were to creatively honour the connection people found with water during and following the covid pandemic, and celebrates our ongoing connection with nature and that which brings us together.

Remembering Together: Scottish Borders is a Two Destination Language project commissioned by Greenspace Scotland with funding from Scottish Government.
